The Melton Mowbray Nursery School
The Melton Mowbray Nursery School is located on Dalby Road, virtually opposite the town swimming baths, in an early Victorian Grade 2 listed building. The Nursery began life as an example of a Melton Mowbray 'hunting lodge', but for much of the past 25 years has been used for more commercial purposes, including a vet's practise as well as a Nursery for the under 5's.
The Melton Mowbray Nursery School is located in an enviable setting with a large car park and a beautiful mature garden. The children can enjoy the outdoor facilities which include a large hard play area for riding trikes and cozy coupes and a 'soft play' corral with low climbing equipment. The babies and under twos are lovingly cared for in the downstairs group rooms and the two to five year olds are able to enjoy Nursery life on the first floor. Many varied activities, focusing on the Foundation Stage curriculum, take place throughout each day with the accent on 'learning through play', including an introduction to computer skills and weekly dance and drama sessions.
The Nursery provides nutritious well balanced hot meals and fresh fruit snacks freshly prepared daily by the Nursery cook.
The staff team is led an experienced Nursery Manager who is the main port of call for Parental queries or concerns.
