We are delighted to be able to confirm that there will be no increase in fees at The Laurels in January!
We have given the matter a great deal of thought and we bear in mind the very difficult climate that everyone is facing, but we do not wish to make parents and carers financial balancing act more difficult by adding to their existing childcare costs.
The freeze in fee scales will be put in place until October 2012 when it will be reviewed when we know the extent of the Governments minimum wage figure which has the main effect on our own costs as a business.
Congratulations to Leanne Lagor who is getting married on New Year‟s Eve. Several of our staff team have recently attended Safeguarding Training and a Kimble's Music and Movement course. These courses keep the team up to date and provides fresh ideas for them to be able to offer the children a wider variety of physical activities and body awareness.
Parents, during the cold winter months please can you send your child to Nursery fully prepared to enjoy outdoor activities in suitable warm clothing and footwear. Please don‟t forget to clearly label your child‟s belongings.
The children in all age groups have the opportunity to enter the „decorate a Christmas tree‟ competition. Just detach the picture of a Christmas Tree with this Newsletter and your child can decorate it using whatever festive decorative materials they choose. Then bring it back to Nursery by Friday 16th December when it will be on display and Sarah will be awarding festive prizes to the winner of each age group.
Please remember that the Nursery will be closed on Monday 26th, Tuesday 27th December and on Monday 2nd January.
